Don’t Sleep New York

Don't Sleep New York is a podcast for the New Yorker who wants to stay up on policy and politics, in the city that never sleeps. Each episode, we dissect one topic and ask the big questions - what’s happening and why should you care. We’re not the experts - and that’s the whole point. Our goal with this podcast is to become better, more informed New Yorkers - and we want to take you along for the ride.

The podcast features 20 minute episodes breaking down issues like where our trash goes, what are those energy grade letters for buildings, and how is affordable housing calculated  - all through the perspective of regular New Yorkers. We don’t interview, we don’t do investigative deep dives. Our approach sheds light on what information is available to the everyday civilian and translates that information into a short 20 minute soundbite, leveraging short form audio as a medium to engage the often politically unengaged. The podcast is currently on hiatus after three seasons and twenty seven episodes.

Don’t Sleep New York is produced and hosted by Ranajoy Bose, Matt Ryklin and Arpan Somani. Stream wherever you listen to podcasts.
